There were lots of movies that imprinted on me as a girl growing up in suburban Columbia, South Carolina that I hold near and dear to my heart– many of them written by beloved Nancy Meyers. The Holiday is up there with one of my all time favorite movies, along with the Parent Trap and Something’s Gotta Give. There was something so very homey about her films, sets, and main character style.
