Pickleball has been all the rage this summer! John and I have gotten into Pickleball this year and absolutely love it. I’ve had the pleasure of working with the sweetest paddle company, Tangerine, who has set me up with the best court style. Their paddles, bags, and accessories are such high quality. I pulled together a list of my favorites paddles, along with Pickleball outfit details. Use code “MC20” for 20% off your order at Tangerine.
Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. It’s played on a compact court (a little smaller than a tennis court) with a lowered net. It’s perfect for all ages because it’s usually a lower paced game and easy to learn the rules. I especially love that it can be played with singles or doubles!
Tangerine is a pickleball paddle company founded by husband and wife, Taylor and Carly. They are constantly dropping the most classic, thoughtful designs that will elevate your style. I get compliments *all the time* on my paddles when we play.
Pickleball is played with the aim of winning points by hitting the ball over the net and landing it within the opponent’s side of the court. The serving team starts behind the baseline (AKA kitchen) and hits the ball diagonally to the opposing court. After the first serve, both teams have to let the ball bounce once on each side. You can’t volley in the front zone (Kitchen) to make sure players aren’t slamming the ball into the net ๐
Only serving teams can earn points. If the serving team wins a rally, they gain a point and continue serving. If the receiving team wins the rally, they gain the serve but do not score a point. Pickleball is typically played to 11 points total. It doesn’t take long to catch on!
