A Fall-Inspired Tablescape For Dinners At Home

The last few months of the year are my favorite times to dress a table and make dinner feel more special at home. Today, I’m going to show you exactly how I created this fall-inspired tablescape that you can use for the upcoming holiday season.

Bonus: EVERYTHING is from Amazon to keep things easy!

On The Table:

I love how this tablescape looks. Lots of deep fall colors but still has some coastal, traditional touches with the bamboo utensils, rattan and cabbage plates. See it on video here!

These rechargable rattan lamps were so perfect, and look a lot more expensive than they are. I will be using these all year round! That’s the fun part about Rattan.

Making The Centerpiece:

If you want a video tutorial on this, check out this Instagram Reel.

To start, you’ll want two or three rechargeable lamps (or four, depending on the length of your table). Charge them up fully before hand!

I shopped for flowers at Trader Joes. I got 5 packs of hydrangeas, some greenery, and some stems that looked like Fall to me. This is where you can really get creative! Pick out florals that are in season and go with the table. And always get a little more than you think you need. You want this centerpiece to be very full!

Put a sheet of cling wrap down on the table first to protect your tablecloth from getting wet!

To get the flower foam around the lamp base, you can either see if the top of your lamps unscrew and push the foam down from the top, OR you can cut and skewer the foam from either side around the lamp. Tape will not work since the foam is very textured.

Lay the rest of the foam blocks in the center of the table close together. I water all foam in the sink before hand, and try to make sure the foam that goes around the lamps isn’t overly wet. You can add more later.

And have fun! Cut your stems short, stick them into the foam all over, and watch as your centerpiece starts to turn into something from a magazine. The lamps in the middle of the flowers add such a chic, intentional touch.

Optional, but I added some mini pumpkins and gourds to really send it on the Fall look. You can skewer these into the foam if necessary, but they are heavy so be careful that you don’t crush the flowers.
